Founded by former TV News journalist Samantha Brett, the brand began with her recognition of a significant gap in sun protection. She observed many colleagues undergoing skin cancer removal procedures after working extended hours outdoors. Despite their needs, no SPF formula blended smoothly with makeup, avoided producing a white cast, or allowed for reapplication throughout the day without disturbing previously applied products.

Naked Sundays emerged from this moment of clarity and responded with a first-of-its-kind SPF line supported by science. It was created by women, for women, to provide protection that does not disrupt daily beauty rituals. The mission remains direct. The brand aims to help reduce skin cancer rates for the next generation by making SPF practical and easy to use.

Naked Sundays debuted with the Hydrating Glow Face Mist, a versatile SPF product that also doubles as a makeup setting spray. The product resonated quickly with consumers and sold out within two weeks. In the same year, the brand launched at Mecca, a luxury retailer in Australia, with four products. Customers purchased three months' worth of inventory in just 24 hours, underscoring strong consumer demand and a desire for sun protection that integrates with beauty routines.

The brand is available in over 1,000 Ulta Beauty stores, over 1,000 Shoppers Drug Mart stores across Canada, and at Sephora and Boots in the United Kingdom. These partnerships reflect its expanding reach and the growing interest in accessible and effective SPF products.

Each year, the brand introduces about 10 new products. This consistent release schedule helps maintain momentum and ensures that consumers have updated options tailored to their needs. Innovations remain focused on making SPF more achievable and valuable in a wide range of daily settings.
